SEAOHUN – One Health One Future

One Health, One Future – Celebrating five years (2020-2024) of collaboration and achievements in One Health under USAID initiative

The video sheds light on the challenges that led to the founding of SEAOHUN, highlights the organization’s achievements over the past five years through various projects and activities, and outlines the future vision of the organization, inviting everyone to join the cause for a better world, encapsulated in the motto “One Health One Future”

“One Health, One Future” encapsulates the idea that the health of humans, animals, and the environment are interconnected and that sustainable solutions to global health challenges can only be achieved through collaborative, cross-sectoral approaches. This concept emphasizes that the future of public health, ecological balance, and biodiversity depends on recognizing and addressing these interdependencies. It advocates for integrated efforts across various disciplines, including medicine, veterinary science, environmental science, and policy, to promote the well-being of all species and ecosystems in a shared, sustainable future.

For SEAOHUN and its partners, “One Health, One Future” represents a shared vision of addressing the complex health challenges in Southeast Asia through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. It reflects the core belief that the health of humans, animals, and ecosystems are deeply interconnected, and that only by working together across sectors can we secure a sustainable future.

This aligns with SEAOHUN’s mission to strengthen capacity and promote the One Health approach through partnerships with academic institutions, governments, international organizations, and the private sector. By engaging a diverse network of experts and stakeholders, SEAOHUN and its partners aim to develop innovative solutions that protect public health, enhance biodiversity, and safeguard environmental sustainability. “One Health, One Future” embodies the collective responsibility to ensure a healthier and more resilient world for all.
